How To Completely Download Game From Disc
Steam has a huge library of games you can buy and download onto your Mac, but if you aren't careful, you'll soon find yourself running out of space on your hard drive for anything new. Now, we all have games that we have bought or downloaded that we don't play anymore. Maybe you have moved on from playing DOTA 2 or maybe you slightly regret getting caught up in the buzz of bizarre Doki Doki Literature Club, but in any case, those games you don't play take up precious space.
The good news is Steam makes it pretty easy to delete games and their data from your Mac right inside the Steam app.
I was wondering if I bought a physical game disk, can I install the whole game to the internal hard drive so I don't need the disk again to play? I love digital downloads and just prefer everything stored internally. However some game disks at CEX are much cheaper than the digital downloads. Hence my question. How to delete Steam games
- Launch Steam from your Applications folder.
Click on the Library tab at the top of the Steam window.
- Use the Control - Click shortcut on the game you want to delete.
Select Uninstall
- Click the Delete button to confirm.
This will delete all your game data from this game, meaning even if you reinstall the game at a later date, none of the progress you have in the game will save.

Installing a CD computer game onto your PC is almost exactly the same as installing any other software title. The main difference is you are asked for either a complete installation or a standard installation. A complete installation installs all of the program files so you do not need the CD while playing the game. A standard installation only installs the required files so you still need the CD to play the game.
Insert the CD game into the disc drive of the PC and wait for the gaming prompt to appear on the screen. You are asked if you want to start a new game, load a current game or install the game. Choose to install the software.
Download Game Disc To Computer
Click 'Next' on the welcome page, then read through and accept the license agreement. You are not allowed to install the game if you do not accept the license agreement.
Type in the key code, if required. Some games have an access code printed on either the user manual or the back of the CD case. Click 'Next' to continue.
Accept the installation name and location by clicking 'Next.' Now choose the installation type you want ('Complete' or 'Standard'). The complete installation does take up more hard drive space, so if you are running low on space you may want to opt for the standard version.
Click 'Install' and the CD game installs onto the PC.
